David Lee Wright, 75, of Sallisaw, died on Thursday, Jan. 16, 2025, in Sallisaw. He was born on June 29, 1949, in Lawton to David Wright and Wynona (Rogers) Wright.
No formal service is planned at this time. Cremation is under the direction of Agent & Mallory-Martin Funeral Home.
He was a U.S. army veteran and spent 30 years teaching at Sallisaw Public Schools. After retirement he worked at the Veterans Administration helping fellow veterans.
He married Vickie Gail Oliver on July 30, 1975, in Tahlequah.
Survivors include his wife, Vickie Wright of the home; four daughters, Brandi Wright of the home and Nicole and Nick Cox, Kim and James Sheffield and Kaci and Austin Klinecole all of Sallisaw; one son, Cameron and Blayke Wright of Sallisaw; seven grandchildren; and other family members and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and one sister, Corma Hayes.
