Repent! And God Will Turn This Nation Around!

Repent! And God Will Turn This Nation Around!
God – Christian – Home – Nation
By Shirley R. Watts

“‘I am the Lord your God…’You shall have no other gods before Me, no carved image, not take the name of the Lord your God in vain.”

‘Honor your father and your mother,” ‘You shall not murder, commit adultery, steal, bear false witness or covet (Deut 5).

Joshua died, and “In those days there was no king in Israel; everyone did what was right in his own eyes” (Judges 17:6).

“Then the children of Israel did evil in the sight of the Lord, and served the Baals; and they bowed down to them; and they provoked the Lord to anger” (Judges 2:11-14).

When there is no godly leader in the home, local church and Nation, God will be ignored and mocked. There will be a moral breakdown and it will dishonor God. This angers God!

The Bible teaches us, that the laws of God must be taught in the home and we will build a strong Nation…one that honors God! (Josh. 1) Today we are drowning in evil! We will be judged!

When the home is not built on Christ, it falls! Children get in trouble, parents fight, churches lose sight of missions and Nations fall! It’s a playground for the devil! Is God the center of your life?

Local churches are failing! We bow to finances, numbers, society, entertainment and sermons planted by the devil. This should not be. The local churches must have a godly influence in our community. Build strong churches… you build strong homes!

When God performed the marriage of Adam and Eve He laid the foundation that could build a society that would glorify Him. The Home being…one man! one woman!

Micah a grown man with children, stealing money from his own mother (Judges 18). His home was breaking God’s Laws. His mother was also sinning against God. Micah coveted the money. He worshiped it, took it and then lied about taking it. The mother had put a curse on the thief not knowing it was her own son. It was because of the curse not breaking of God’s law that Micah confessed as thief and returned the money.

Rather than punish Micah the mother had an image made for him to be placed among his collection in his home. Micah had even set up a priest in his home which was forbidden. Anyone guilty of this must be killed (Num 3).

Well, we see a home of “religious” breakdown. We have much of the same today. Money seemed to be the center of worship.

How many of the Ten Commandments are broken here?

Micah had no respect for his mother. Today we see this and there is no shame. Respect for one another is declining quickly and it seems that “death” is taken so lightly. This tells us even more that God’s Laws are being mocked!

We take the Ten Commandments down in our schools we can only see things get worse. Unless the Christian repents and returns to God, the home, church and Nation can only get worse. It begins with you and me!!!

Who will the next generation worship? We must teach and obey God’s Laws so “That the generation to come might know them, The children who would be born, That they may arise and declare them to their children,” (Ps. 78:6).

You and I can have a spiritual part in generations to come, “That a people yet to be created may praise the Lord” (Ps. 102:18). What or who does your family worship? Is your church on mission? Do you teach the Bible?

“If the foundations are destroyed, What can the righteous do? (Ps. 11:3). We repent, pick up His Book, pray, study, and teach it to this generation, and this will change our homes, churches and Nation.

The local church, and the Nation may be ignoring God, but our home does not need to follow. We must stand firm! We concentrate on our commitment to God. We teach the children, let God work in and through us.

Christian, God can turn our Nation around! Let’s return to God and surrender to the power of the Holy Spirit!

We must not abandon God’s Laws!!

Repentance changes things!

Pray for America!
