The Wicked – Caught in His Own Trap
By Shirley R. Watts

“The nations have sunk down in the pit which they made; In the net which they hid, their own foot is caught” (Psalm 9:15). “His own iniqui t ies entrap the wicked man, And he is caught in the cords of his sin” (Proverbs 5:22).

“He has said in his heart, God has forgotten; He hides His face; He will never see” ( Psalm 10:11).

Wicked Identified?

They are people and Nations who ignore God. “God is in none of his thoughts” (Psalm 10:4).

They refuse Jesus as Savior! Every person outside Jesus Christ is listed among the wicked. The wicked ignore the blood of His Son!!! God speaks of the wicked and their destiny!

“Then you shall again discern between the righteous and the wicked between the one who serves God and one who does not serve Him” (Malachi 3:18).

If a person is not identified with Jesus, he is identified with Satan.

God’s description:

“He brings forth iniquity, conceives trouble, lies” (Psalm 7:14).

“He persecutes the poor because of pride” (Psalm 10:2.

“He boasts of his heart’s desire, he renounces the Lord” (Psalm 10:3).

“He walks with a perverse mouth” (Proverbs 6:12).

“He devises wicked plans, he has feet that are swift in running to evil” (Proverbs 6:18.

“His mouth is full of violence” (Proverbs 10:6).

“He is deceiving” ( Proverbs 11:18).

“The Lord is far from the wicked” (Proverbs 15:29).

“He accepts a bribe behind the back to pervert the ways of justice” (Proverbs 17:23.

“He plots evil against the Lord” (Nahum 1:3).

“The tares are the sons of the wicked one: (Matthew 13:38).

These are a few of the Scriptures that give us a good description of the wicked. The wicked live and belong to Satan, and they do not seek God or His ways.

Destination

The wicked will spend eternity in hell. They set their own trap and are caught in it at the end.

“The wicked shall be turned into hell” (Psalm 9:17).

“He does not seek God; God is not in any of his thoughts” (Psalm 10:4). “Why do the wicked renounce God? He has said in his heart, “You will not require an account” (Psalm 10:13). They reject God!

The wicked do not feel that God sees him or that he will ever give an account to God. Satan deceived him! Every person will give an account to God for the way he/ she lived. When you accept Jesus by faith you are forgiven of all sins before and after salvation. But! (II Cor:9-11).

God hates wickedness! “But the wicked and the one who loves violence His soul hates” (Psalm 11:5).

“Upon the wicked He will rain coals; Fire and brimstone and a burning wind shall be the portion of their cup” (Psalm 11:6).

“The wicked shall perish” (Psalm 37:20).

“All the wicked He will destroy” (Psalm 145:20).

“The wicked will not go unpunished” (Proverbs 11:21).

If you say in your heart: “God has forgotten; He hides His face; He will never see” (Psalm 10:11) read the rest of the Bible! Don’t be deceived! God has provided salvation for all who are willing to repent of sin and trust in His Son Jesus Christ.

“Let the wicked forsake his way, And the unrighteous man his thoughts; Let him return to the Lord, and He will have mercy on him; And to our God, for He will abundantly pardon” (Isaiah 55:3).

“Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ and you will be saved” (Acts 16:31). “So it will be at the end of the age, The angels will come forth, separate the wicked from among the just” (Matthew 13:49).

Christian

Are you witnessing to the lost today?

Are you identified as a born again?

Does your life honor God?

Do the wicked see Christ in you?

Many professing church members are grazing on the wrong side of the fence…The World!!!

Christians must be involved in witnessing!

“When I say to the wicked, ’O wicked man, you shall surely die!’ and you do not speak to warn the wicked from his way, that wicked man shall die in his iniquity; but his blood I will require at your hand” (Ezekiel 33:8).

Remember! Do not vote for the wicked!!!
