Carol Wilson Jones

June 9, 1936 – July 27, 2024

Funeral services for Carol (Wilson) Jones, 88, of Roland, were held at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, Aug. 1, 2024, at First Baptist Church in Roland.

Burial followed at Roland City Cemetery under the direction of Agent Mallory Martin Funeral Service, Inc.

Mrs. Jones was born on June 9, 1936, in Roland, to Ola Mae (Osborne) Wilson and H.W. Wilson Sr. She died on Saturday, July 27, 2024, in Roland.

She graduated from Roland High School in 1954, was a member of First Baptist Church of Roland, and retired from James River Dixie.

She was married to Jimmie S. Jones on March 23, 1956. He preceded her in death on Oct. 15, 2019.

Survivors are two daughters, Vickie Terry and husband David of Roland and Lisa Martin and husband Randy of Edmond; four granddaughters; four great-grandchildren; one sister, Ruby Metcalf and husband Darrell of Tulsa; one brother, Joe Wilson and wife Judy of Roland; and many other family members and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; four sisters, Ellen Jones, Lucille Gage, Martha Trammell and Wanda Cheek; and five brothers Frank Wilson, George Wilson, R.C. Wilson, Curtis Wilson and H.W. Wilson.

Pallbearers were C.W. Blood, Randy Martin, Troy Sanstra, Todd Fisher, Chase Buck and Cody Boyers.

Honorary pallbearers were David Terry, Joe Wilson and Darrell Metcalf.
