Nelda Jo Post Denny

Dec. 7, 1938 – July 15, 2024

Celebration of Life service for Nelda Jo Post Denny, 85, of Sapulpa, was held at 3 p.m. on Saturday, July 20, 2024, at Agent Mallory Martin Chapel in Sallisaw. A gathering followed at The Homeplace at Agent Mallory Martin Funeral Home.

Mrs. Denny was born on Dec. 7, 1938, in Fort Smith, Ark., to Cleo Fern (Hawkins) Post and Paul Post. She died on July 15, 2024 in Sapulpa.

She was married to Gary Don Denny on July 27, 1957, in Stilwell. He preceded her in death on Jan. 27, 2016.

She received her Masters in Business Education from NSU in Tahlequah. She was a former business and computer teacher in Checotah, Memphis City, Gans, Claremore, Stilwell and Sallisaw, and also served as wrestling and cheerleading sponsor and golf coach.

Survivors are one daughter, Jo Helen Trigalet of Sapulpa; two sons, Paul Denny of Sapulpa and Dr. Raymond Denny and Kim of Tulsa; seven grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and numerous other relatives and friends. She was also preceded in death by her parents.
