Aug. 2, 1932 – June 12, 2024

Agnes Elizabeth Barker, 91, of Muldrow, passed away on Wednesday, June 12, 2024. She was born on Aug. 2, 1932, in Borger, Texas, to Edgar and Mary (Hartzog) Rodgers.

The family lived in several states due to her husband’s job as a construction superintendent. She held several jobs outside the home, finally retiring from the Sallisaw Visitor Information Center.

Survivors are her husband of 62 years, Walter Lee Barker; her children, Karen Peoples of Fort Smith, Ark., David Collins of Vian, Pete Galyean and wife Janet of Houston, Texas, Debra Worrell and husband Ricky of Muldrow, Elizabeth Barker of Muldrow and Melissa Reuter and husband Rev of Augusta, Ga.; 13 grandchildren, and 23 greatgrandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Edgar Jr. and Billy Rodgers; a sister, Gloria Peabody; and grandson, Lee David Collins.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held on what would have been her 92nd birthday, August 2.
