John Kenneth Acton

March 20, 1943 – June 23, 2024

Funeral services for John Kenneth Acton, 81, of Muldrow, were held at 10 a.m. on Friday, June 28, 2024, at Eastside Freewill Baptist Church in Muldrow.

Burial followed at Lee’s Chapel Cemetery in Muldrow, under the direction of Agent Mallory Martin Funeral Service, Inc.

Mr. Acton was born on March 20, 1943, in Fort Smith, Ark., to Opal Ethelen (Jones) Acton and John Thomas Acton. He died on Sunday, June 23, 2024.

He was married to Mahnut “Toye” Acton on Nov. 20, 1967, in Bangkok, Thailand.

He served in The U.S. Air Force and was a Vietnam Veteran. He was a proud 32nd Degree Freemason, member of Muldrow Bruton Lodge No. 30 and active in the Muldrow VFW Post 8384. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, photography, and competition shooting.

Survivors are wife, Mahnut “Toye” Acton of the home; two sons, Manue Acton and Duangjai of Spiro and Vichan Acton and Kosin of Muldrow; two daughters, Maude Elaine King and Johnny of Muldrow and Nopnila Rengstorf and Joshua of Bentonville, Ark.; seven grandchildren; four greatgrandchildren, Aniyah, Alicyn, Naomi and Josiah; one brother, Thomas Acton and Charlotte of Garland, Texas; and other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents; one sister; and a great-grandson.

Pallbearers were Tewa Tramel, Joshua Rengstorf, Joshua Acton, Norman Harrold, Tychan Acton, Michael Mullins, Johnny King and Chad Oliver.

Honorary pallbearers were Larry Oliver and Bobby Jones.
