Political Party: Republican Hometown: Sallisaw Current Town: Sallisaw Education: Nursing education Age: 57

Candidate Background:

I was a small business owner and have 30 years of related experience. I was operations manager for Sallisaw Overhead Door company for 10 years. During this time, I was responsible for the budget, payroll, billing, scheduling, customer service, purchasing, as well as handling all customer orders and vendor correspondence. Prior to that, I was office manager for Guy Thompson insurance company for 19 years. I maintained customers policies, claims, and billing, as well as title abstracting. I am currently a nurse at Health & Wellness and have worked as a nurse for the past 16 years.

1. Have you ever failed to pay any taxes or court ordered judgements?

No

2. Have you ever been convicted of a felony? No

What are the top three messages of your campaign?

1. I will work side by side with the other elected officials and county employees to bring unity to our county government.

2. I will instill a family first type of atmosphere. These employees have families, and I know how important their jobs are to each of them.

3. It takes a team to make any business work and the County Clerk position is no different than any other business. It truly takes a TEAM to be successful. When I am elected, I will bring unity with me.

What are the top three most pressing issues facing rural Oklahoma? How would you address these issues if elected?

1. There are always these types of fears and rumors during election times [in rural Oklahoma]. Each employee in that office has a different job duty, I will be working side by side with the current employees to help me learn what each of their jobs entail. This will bring unity in times of uncertainty.
