Dorothy Ann Nine

July 27, 1936 – Dec. 26, 2023

Funeral services for Dorothy Ann Nine, 87, of Erie, Kan., were held at 11 a.m., Saturday, Dec. 30, 2023, at the Erie Federated Church at Erie.

A committal service was held at 1 p.m., Tuesday, Jan. 2, 2023, at the Roland Cemetery.

She was born July 27, 1936, in Archbold, Ohio, to Willard and Ann (Ruger) Gearig. She died on Tuesday, Dec. 26, 2023, in Chanute, Kan.

She was married to Donald L. Nine on Oct. 17, 1959. He preceded her in-death on Oct. 28, 2018.

Survivors include one son and daughter in-law, Mark and Cheryl Nine of Erie; daughter, Michelle Sanders of Roland; three grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; three great-great grandchildren; three sisters, Barbara Miller of Dandridge, Tenn., Elain Rychner and husband Phil of Pettisville, Ohio and Judi Miller of Archbold; and other family members and friends.

Arrangements were under the direction of Pierce-Carson-Wall Funeral Home in Erie.
