Muldrow – Funeral services for Gerald Wayne Griffin, 47, of Muldrow, were held at 10 a.m. on Thursday, Aug. 24, 2023, at The BOD Church in Roland. Burial followed at Fleetwood Cemetery in Sallisaw under the direction of Agent Mallory Martin Funeral Service, Inc.
Mr. Griffin was born on April 7, 1976, in Fort Smith, Ark., to Shirley Jean (Jackson) Griffin and Wayne Franklin Griffin. He died on Friday, Aug. 18, 2023, in Muldrow. He was married to Racheal Keith on June 14, 2008, in Muldrow.
He was a DHS Case Manager and an educator, having worked at Gore, Keota, Muldrow, Roland and Moffett. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army and of the Christian faith.
Survivors are his wife, Racheal Griffin of the home; children, Kristina Griffin of Centerton, Ark., Gentrie McCullers and Allen of Fort Smith, Cameron Young of Muldrow, Braden Young of Muldrow, Stephanie Smith and Clayton of Gentry, Ark., Ashley Harriman of Guthrie and Devin Harriman and Samantha of Sallisaw; seven grandchildren; his father, Wayne Griffin of Muldrow; two sisters, Melinda Vigil and James of Ozark, Ark. and Diana Bynum-Woolworth of Gans; one brother, Scotty Bynum of Muldrow; and a host of other relatives and friends.
Pallbearers were Matt Edwards, Boog Watts, Braden Young, Cameron Young, Phil Harris and Brandon Burris.
Honorary pallbearers were Matthew Vigil, Allen McCullers, Clayton Smith and Scotty Bynum.
