Sallisaw – Funeral services for Mary Jumper, 72, of Sallisaw, were at 2 p.m. Thursday, July 6, 2023, at Bethel Baptist Church in Sallisaw. Burial followed at Flute Springs Cemetery in Marble City under the direction of Agent Mallory Martin Funeral Service, Inc.

Mrs. Jumper was born on Jan. 18, 1951, in Sallisaw, to Dorothy (Pruitt) Rowe and Robert Frank Rowe. She died on Thursday, June 29, 2023, in Sallisaw.

She was a home health licensed practical nurse and of the Baptist faith.

Survivors are her husband, Butch Chunestudy; three daughters, Miranda Jumper and Brian of Illinois, Rhonda Smith and Brian of Sallisaw, and Robin Spencer and Johnny of Sallisaw; four sons, John E. Jumper, Jr. of Sallisaw, Billy Jumper of Gans, Jeffrey Jumper of Gans, and Steven Jumper and Holli of Sallisaw; 16 grandchildren; eight greatgrandchildren; seven brothers, Paul Rowe of Siloam Springs, Ark., Merle Rowe of Sallisaw, David Rowe of Webbers Falls, Edwin Rowe of Harrah, Norman Rowe of Van Buren, Ark., Robert Rowe of Garland, Texas, and Charles Rowe of Fort Smith, Ark.; one sister, Alice Stahl of Vian; and several other family members and friends.

She was preceded in death by her first husband, John Jumper, Sr.; one great-granddaughter, Hadlee Eads; her parents; two brothers, James Rowe and Earl Rowe; and one sister, Theresa Kelley.

Pallbearers were Brian Smith, Johnny Spencer, Dakota Eads, John Jumper, III and Clay Sizemore.

Honorary pallbearers were Steven Jumper, Billy Jumper, Jeffrey Jumper and John Jumper.
