Roland Lady Rangers golf team finishes third at Poteau Invitational

The Roland Lady Rangers were third at the Poteau Invitational, which took place last Wednesday at Choctaw Country Club. The Lady Rangers finished with a 498 team score, coming in behind champion and tournament-host Poteau (375) and runner-up Checotah (459).

McKinna Cooper was the 11th-place medalist with a 116. Laynie Roedenbeck was 25th with a 126 and Landyn Ramey and Adriana Moya tied for 28th with 128s.

Last Thursday, two Lady Rangers, Ramey and Coleman “C.C.” Pearson, competed in their own Roland Invi-tational at Ben Geren Country Club in Fort Smith, Ark. Ramey was the eighth-place medalist with a 114, while Pearson was 16th with a 134.

The Lady Rangers will play today in the Stigler Invitational to wrap up the regular season.
