Roland woman charged with drug trafficking, firearm violations
Following Task Force search
By AMIE CATO-REMER EDITOR,

A Roland woman is facing multiple felony charges following the execution of a nighttime search warrant that authorities say uncovered a large quantity of suspected methamphetamine and several firearms inside a residence.

According to a probable cause affidavit, agents with the District 27 Drug & Violent Crimes Task Force, along with officers from the Roland Police Department, served a search warrant on Jan. 28 at a home belonging to Laci M. Noah, 35, and Terrod Clayton.

Authorities reported that no occupants were present when they entered the residence, though security cameras were observed on the front porch.

During a search of the home, agents allegedly located numerous plastic bags containing a white crystal substance later field-tested positive for methamphetamine in multiple areas, including the bathroom, bed- room, closet and dresser drawers.

Investigators also reported finding drug paraphernalia, including digital scales with residue and a glass smoking pipe.

In addition to the suspected narcotics, agents said they discovered several firearms and related items, including a 9mm semi-automatic pistol, ammunition, rifle components, and a sawed-off .410 shotgun with a barrel length shorter than legal limits.

Two GPS trackers were also reportedly found.

Authorities believe Noah and Clayton may have been alerted to law enforcement’s presence through the home’s surveillance system.

Agents later located the pair in a vehicle in Fort Smith, Ark., after observing what was described as suspicious driving behavior, including multiple stops at businesses and hotels.

Officers eventually made contact with the two at a hotel.

According to the affidavit, Noah acknowledged seeing law enforcement at the residence via camera and stated the pair had been driving around trying to determine their next steps.

Noah was formally charged on March 5 with trafficking in illegal drugs (more than 80 grams of methamphetamine), possession of a firearm after former felony conviction, possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony, possession of a sawed-off shotgun or rifle, tampering with a security camera or system, and unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia.

She is scheduled to appear for a felony disposition docket at 9 a.m. on April 29 in Sequoyah County District Court before Associate District Judge Kyle Waters.

Noah’s bond was set at $30,000.
