Bessie (Crabtree) Reed, 72, of Sallisaw, died on Tuesday, July 30, 2024, in Sallisaw. She was born on Dec. 23, 1951, in Fort Smith, Ark., to Millard Crabtree and Ellen (Campbell) Waltermire.
A memorial service will be held at a later date. Cremation is under the direction of Agent & Mallory-Martin Funeral Home.
Survivors include one son, Robert Turner of Fort Smith; siblings, James and Judy Crabtree, Rocky Waltermire, Oscar “Gene” and Gwenda Waltermire and Scotty Waltermire, all of Sallisaw, Floyd Crabtree and Martha and John Loper, all of Louisiana; and other family members and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; one son, Daniel Turner; two brothers, Tommy Sea and Jess Crabtree; and two sisters, Ollie Cunningham and Louise Cunningham.
