Sallisaw – Funeral services for Addie Folks Shiew, 96, of Sallisaw, were held at 10 a.m. on Friday, Aug. 25, 2023, at Eastside Free Will Baptist Church in Sallisaw. Burial was at Sallisaw City Cemetery under the direction of Agent & Mallory-Martin Funeral Home.
Mrs. Shiew was born on July 19, 1927, in Akins to Orin Harmon Luther and Ethabell (Farris) Luther. She died on Monday, Aug. 21, 2023, in Sallisaw.
She was retired from National Bank of Sallisaw after 34 years and was a member of Eastside Baptist Church.
She married Wayne W. Shiew on March 8, 1991, in Sallisaw. He preceded her in death on Aug. 30, 2013.
Survivors include two sons, Glennis and Judy Folks and Gary and Sharon Folks, all of Sallisaw; four grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and other family members and friends.
She was also preceded in death by her parents; her husbands, Jack Folks and Oddumen Olsson; one sister, Inez Duty; and one brother, J.V. Luther.
Pallbearers were Robert Jenkins, Trevor Jenkins, Chris Folks, Joey Tudor, Leo Farmer and Barney Girdner.
