University of the Ozarks women close out regular season with weekend wins

CLARKSVILLE, Ark. — Former Muldrow Lady Bulldog Kennedi “Kiki” Wight and the University of the Ozarks women’s basketball team closed out the regular season with a pair of home wins last weekend at Mabee Gymnasium.

The Eagles defeated the University of Dallas 66-47 last Friday night, then beat Austin College 63-52 last Saturday night.

In the win over the University of Dallas, Wight scored nine points, grabbed four rebounds, had four assists, a blocked shot and a steal. In the victory over Austin College, Wight had a game-high 22 points to go with her five boards, three steals, two assists and a blocked shot.

The Eagles (13-12 overall, 8-8 in Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference play) will begin postseason play this Friday in the SCAC Tournament in Conway, Ark., with a 7 p.m. contest against Texas Lutheran.
