OKDHS Launches AbuseIsNotOK Campaign

October is Domestic Violence Awareness Month and Oklahoma Human Services (OKDHS) wants to remind Oklahomans that AbuseisNotOK. Earlier this year, the agency launched a new online portal,, for the general public, community partners and law enforcement to report allegations of abuse, neglect and exploitation of vulnerable adults to Adult Protective Services (APS). In addition to the new portal, calls will continue to be answered at the statewide abuse hotline at 1-800-522-3511.

My mother hated bugs and insects mainly because she was highly allergic to their stings. E v e n something as small as a gnat bite would make her eyes swell. I inherited several of her allergies and have to take two antihistamines a day just to keep mine in check. I'm glad this is part of my doctor's regimen because it probably saved me from swelling into The Elephant's Man's sister last week.
