The Town of Muldrow will host a cleanup event for town residents from April 13-17, offering a free and convenient opportunity to dispose of unwanted household items.
Cleanup hours will run daily from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. A designated dumpster will be available in the fenced area behind the Muldrow Sanitation Department offices.
The service is limited to residents of Muldrow, and participants will be required to present a current Muldrow utility bill to verify residency before unloading materials.
Town officials emphasized that the cleanup is intended for residential use only. Commercial and industrial waste will not be accepted, and contractors or commercial haulers are strictly prohibited from using the site.
In addition, residents are asked to limit each load to an amount that can fit in a standard pickup truck bed.
Accepted items include typical household trash, furniture, appliances and carpet.
However, several materials are prohibited, including hazardous or toxic waste, car batteries, engine oil, pesticides, paint, cleaning chemicals, liquids of any kind, tires, and yard debris such as grass, leaves, or brush. To help reduce wait times, residents are encouraged to take advantage of the cleanup throughout the week rather than all at once.
