Funeral services for Nelda Fern Kinsey, 96, of Sallisaw, were held at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, April 1, 2026, at Agent Mallory Martin Chapel in Sallisaw.
Burial followed at Sallisaw City Cemetery under the direction of Agent Mallory Martin Funeral Service, Inc.
Mrs. Kinsey was born on April 14, 1929, in Hanson, to Maude Ella (Broaddrick) Davis and Arthur Davis. She passed away on Saturday, March 28, 2026, in Sallisaw.
In 1948, she married Bill Kinsey in Sallisaw. He preceded her in death on June 9, 2007.
She was of the Baptist faith, and enjoyed cooking and spending time with her grandchildren. She also contributed to her community as a teacher’s aide.
Survivors are two sons, James Kinsey and Barbara of Edmond and Bill Kinsey, Jr. and Fang of Sallisaw; five grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and other relatives and friends.
She was also preceded in death by her parents; grandson, John Kinsey; four sisters, Reba Walker, Mildred Burris, Lajuana Drake and Emojean Salyers; and brother, Willie Davis.
