Muldrow Lady Bulldogs beat Stilwell in FG Tournament, drop five other games
By DAVID SEELEY Sports Editor

Last week’s softball slate of games for the Muldrow Lady Bulldogs was a rough one for them.

The only win they had was a 6-3 victory over Stilwell on the final day of the Fort Gibson Festival on March 31.

The other five games were losses, four of which came in the Fort Gibson Festival — 5-2 to Hulbert, 10-0 to Warner and 10-2 to Fort Gibson on March 30, followed by a 6-4 loss to Stigler.

The week ended with a 12-6 loss to the Vian Lady Wolverines last Thursday afternoon at Armstrong Park.

In the win over Stilwell, the Lady Bulldogs (5-8) broke a 3-all tie with a three-run eighth inning after they tied the game at 3-all with a run in the seventh inning to force extra innings.

For the game, Noelia Parga was 4-for-4 with two runs batted in and a run scored, Kaydence Young was 2-for-4 and Aliyah Duran was 2-for-4 with two runs scored and an RBI for Muldrow. Jaydin Dean (5-8) got the win.

In the loss to Hulbert, the Lady Riders jumped out to a 3-0 lead in the first inning. The Lady Bulldogs scored once in the first inning to cut their deficit to 3-1 after an inning but go no closer.

In defeat, Young was 4-for-4, Haven Nickson was 2-for-4 with a double, Parga was 2-for-3 and Dean tripled and scored once for Muldrow. Dean suffered the loss.

In the loss to Warner, Warner pitcher Saige Casinger tossed a sixhitter.

The Lady Eagles scored twice in each of the first two innings, then put the game into run-rule status with a four-run fourth inning and a two-run fifth inning.

In defeat, Parga was 2-for-2, Young doubled and Aliyah Duran, Reagan Newbern and Kynlee Thomas singled for Muldrow. Dean took the loss.

In the loss to Fort Gibson, the Lady Tigers broke a 2-all tie with a seven-run fourth inning.

In defeat, Dean was 2-for-3 with a run scored, Newbern was 2-for-3 with a run scored, Parga was 2-for-3 and Thomas was 2-for-3 for Muldrow. Dean suffered the loss.

In the loss to Stigler, the Lady Panthers scored three runs in the first inning and twice in the third inning for a 5-0 lead. After the Lady Bulldogs cut their deficit to 5-2 in the fourth inning, the Lady Panthers scored once in their half of the frame for a 6-2 advantage. The Lady Bulldogs scored single runs in the fifth and sixth innings, but their late rally fell short.

In defeat, Dean was 2-for-3 with an RBI and a run scored, while Young was 2-for-4 with a double and an RBI for Muldrow. Dean took the loss.

In the loss to Vian, the Lady Wolverines broke a 6-all tie with a six-run sixth inning.

In defeat, Young was 4-for-4 with a double and two runs scored, Amaya Duran was 3-for-4 with a triple, two RBIs and a run scored, Dean was 3-for-4, Newbern was 2-for-4 with a run scored, Amarie Duran was 2-for-2 with two run scored and an RBI, Nickson was 2-for-4 and Parga was 2-for-4 for Muldrow. Dean suffered the loss.
