Mary Jane Hines Caves

June 2, 1940 — March 25, 2026

Graveside services for Mary Jane (Hines) Caves, 85, of Sallisaw, were held at 11 a.m. Monday, March 30, 2026, at Brushy Cemetery under the direction of Agent Mallory-Martin Funeral Home.

Mrs. Caves was born on June 2, 1940, in Brushy to Clayton Mayo Hines and Sylvia (Davis) Hines. She passed away on Wednesday, March 25, 2026, in Sallisaw.

She was a homemaker and of the Baptist faith. She enjoyed spending time with her family, yard sales and gardening.

Survivors include three daughters, Mary Wells of Muldrow, Janie and Hector Milian of Sallisaw and Jawana Presley of Roland; one son, Steve Gober Jr. and Joann of Woonsocket, R.I.; four sisters, Imogene Cheek of Sallisaw, Marie and Gary Bolin of Brushy, Nancy and Allen Lineberry of Sallisaw, and Sylvia and Dan Kirkpatrick of Lake City, Tenn.; two brothers, Thomas Hines and Clayton C. Hines both of Brushy; 14 grandchildren; and other family members and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Calvin Caves; two sisters, Jewel Teague and Edith Hines; two brothers, Ozzie Hines and Edward J. Hines; and one grandson.
