James Albert Brodhagen, 85, of Sallisaw, passed away on Saturday, March 28, 2026. He was born on Sept. 18, 1940, in Grand Rapids, Mich., to Leonard A. Brodhagen and Edna (Edgerton) Brodhagen.

No formal service is planned at this time. Cremation is under the direction of Agent Mallory-Martin Funeral Home.

He worked in pharmaceutical manufacturing for 35 years with Upjohn.

He married Sue Dubois on July 20, 1972, in Oshtemo, Mich.

Survivors include his wife, Sue Brodhagen of the home; daughter, Stephanie and Scott Eastwood of Sallisaw; son, Gary Brodhagen of Vicksburg, Mich.; eight grandchildren; and other family members and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Ty Warren Brodhagen; brother, Gene Brodhagen; and sister, Suzanne Paddock.
