CHECOTAH — The Central High School track teams entered Easter Weekend by competing int the Checotah Crossroads Classic, which took place last Thursday at Ogle Field.
For the Tigers, Gavin Randolph was third in the in the 400-meter dash (51.34 seconds) and was sixth in the 100-meter dash (11.94), while Braxton Prewett was fourth in the fourth in the discus (111-9) to score Central’s 11 points which was good for tying Fort Gibson for 15th place.
As for other Tigers, Mason Louthan was 47th (1:07.96) and Riley Walters was 49th (1:08.45) in the 400-meter dash, while Walters was 53rd (28.56 seconds) and Louthan was 56th (29.01) in the 200-meter dash.
Alyvia Warner was the highest finisher for the Lady Tigers as she was runner-up in the 300-meter hurdles (49.73 seconds) and fifth in the 100-meter hurdles (18.74). Sadie Huff was third in the 800-meter run (2:41.23), while Sara Williams was fourth (1:05.08).
As for other Lady Tigers, Kaitlin Clark was 10th (14.48 seconds), Jhaselyn Gonzalez was 12th (14.55) and Keeley Poindexter was 34th (15.83) in the 100-meter dash, Williams was 15th (29.02), Clark was 18th (29.42) and Poindexter was 38th (32.32) in the 200-meter dash and Scarlett Harrison was 15th in the 400-meter dash (1:12.2).
As for Lady Tigers’ relays, the quartet of Warner, Huff, Cambree Bair and Williams was runner- up in the 1,600-meter relay (4:25.1).
The foursome of Warner, Clark, Bair and Williams came in seventh in the 800-meter relay (1:54.04).
Gonzalez, Huff, Poindexter and Clark were ninth in the 400-meter relay (55.46 seconds).
As a team, the Lady Tigers were seventh with 36 points.
The Central track teams were slated to return to action at Tuesday’s Warner Invitational before running in the Hilldale Invitational, which will begin at 10 a.m. this Friday in Muskogee.
