It was a rough start to the 2026 slow-pitch softball season for the Roland Lady Rangers last week.
The Lady Rangers lost their season opener 12-1 in five innings to the Warner Lady Eagles on March 23.
Last Thursday, the Lady Rangers went winless in four games played at the Oktaha Festival, losing 7-2 to Stigler and 17-0 to Oktaha in pool play games before falling 14-1 to Cleveland and 12-0 to archrival Muldrow.
In the loss to Warner, after the Lady Rangers (0-5) tied the game at 1-all in the fifth inning, the Lady Eagles used an 11-run fifth inning to put the game into runrule status.
In defeat, Paisley Davis and Kaia Cantrell each doubled for Roland for its only hits of the game. Khloe Cox took the loss.
In the loss to Stigler, after the Lady Rangers cut their deficit to 3-2 after three innings, the Lady Panthers put away the game with single runs in the fourth and fifth innings and a tworun sixth inning.
In defeat, McKinna Cooper was 2-for-2 with a run batted in for Roland. Cox suffered the loss.
In the loss to Oktaha, the Lady Tigers put away the game early with a 10-run first inning.
In defeat, Davis was 2-for-2 with a double, while Jazmin Pettit doubled for Roland. Cox took the loss.
In the loss to Muldrow, Muldrow pitcher Jaydin Dean tossed a no-hitter.
Layne Roedenbeck suffered the loss.
