Behold! I am Alive – Forevermore
Commentary
March 31, 2026
Behold! I am Alive – Forevermore
‘Surely I am Coming Quickly’ – Rev. 22
By Shirley R. Watts,

‘The Son of Man must be delivered into the hands of sinful men, and be crucified, and the third day rise again.” (Luke 24:7).

“I was in the Spirit on the Lord’s Day, and I heard behind me a loud voice, as of a trumpet, saying, “I am the Alpha and the Omega, the First and the Last, “Then I turned to see the voice that spoke with me” (Rev. 1:11-12).

What a beautiful time of the year! The trees budding, flowers blooming, birds are singing as they build their nests and prepare to bring forth “new life.”

About two thousand years ago there was a more beautiful time when man was offered a “new life” through the Death and Resurrection of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. We are reminded of His precious blood sacrifice for our sins. But, what is so sad is that only those who truly repent and have placed their faith in Him can truly celebrate the “new life” He gives (Salvation).

Jesus Christ came as a baby to Bethlehem, grew up in Nazareth, fed the hungry, healed the sick, cast out demons and preached “new life” to all who would accept Him as Savior. He said, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me” (John 14:6).

Do you have this “new life?” This “new life” came when He died, was buried and God the Father raised Him from the dead then seated Him at His right hand. When we are bornagain we are raised out of the “dead state” and into “new life” in Him and will be resurrected to Heaven when He comes for the Christians (Rapture).

How do you view the cross of Jesus? What do you think of Him? Today many still laugh, see it as foolishness and some still mock Him. There is coming a day when all of you who reject Him will bow before Him. You will “remember His words and say, “Behold, thou art the Son of God.” But, then it will be too late to change your mind (repent).

Jesus Christ is alive! He will return! He will judge sin! He will judge all who reject Him! He will return at the end of the Great Tribulation, defeat evil in the Battle of Armegeddon, casting Satan into the pit for one thousand years (Millennium) while we reign with Christ. After Satan is loosed for a while God will defeat him, and cast him into the Lake of Fire. Then the Great White Throne Judgment of the lost. This is when all of those whom Satan has deceived about Jesus Christ will be cast into the Lake of Fire with him. The Christians will live with Christ forever. Amen!

John saw Jesus Christ alive and in His power and glory in Heaven. (Rev 1). If we could see Jesus today, we would see Him the way John saw Him. Jesus told John to “Write the things which you have seen, and the things which are, and the things which will take place after this” (Rev. 1:19).

In all His brightness, Jesus is in the place of “final authority” there will be no one to dispute Him. We see Him in his strength and judgment. When He speaks, no one else will be heard. He will judge with the “sword,” the Word of God. He will condemn the false and approve the true. He will smite the nations. Man can’t escape! John 12:48 says: “He who rejects Me, and does not receive My words, has that which judges him–the word that I have spoken will judge him in the last day.”

Remember what He has said: “I am He who lives, and was dead, and behold, I am alive forevermore. Amen. (Rev. 1:18).

Receive the “new life” in Jesus Christ.

“Behold, He is coming with clouds, and every eye will see Him, even they who pierced Him. And all the tribes of the earth will mourn because of Him” Even so, Amen. (Rev 1).

“And anyone not found written in the Book of Life was cast into the lake of fire” (Rev. 20:15).
