The Muldrow Cherokee Community Organization (MCCO) held a community canning class on March 9 thanks to the Cherokee Nation. Cathy from Cathy’s Jars taught the class, where everyone had a great time learning the process and getting hands-on experience. Attendees made monkey butter, pickles and homemade jalapeño sauce, which all turned out delicious. It was a great night of learning, laughter and fellowship. Seeing people of all ages gather together in the kitchen, sharing stories and learning new skills is exactly what MCCO is all about. They are already looking forward to the next class.
