April is Sexual Assault Awareness Month and the Sequoyah County CCR/SART is on a mission to raise awareness and education.
Please join them for their annual Sexual Assault Awareness Glow Stick Walk at the Sallisaw Sport Complex walking trail at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday, April 9, as they walk to raise awareness for sexual assault victims and survivors.
They encourage everyone to bring their pets to walk with them. If you can’t bring your pet, the Sallisaw Animal Shelter will be on site with shelter dogs who would love a little exercise with a new human friend.
Free glow sticks will be provided to participants who walk, so come get your glow on.
Please consider bringing donations for the animal shelter as well. They are always in need of leashes and collars, but any donations of food, treats, toys, etc. are welcome.
