The Northeastern Oklahoma A&M Lady Norse softball team entered Spring Break with two wins — as well as ended a four-game losing streak.
Last Friday in Independence, Kan., the Lady Norse swept a road doubleheader from host Independence Community College by winning the opener 10-2 and getting a 9-1 five-inning, run-ruled victory in the nightcap.
Last week started off with a pair of home losses to former Vian Lady Wolverine Maisie Wells and the Eastern Oklahoma State College Lady Mountaineers by scores of 7-0 and 6-3 on March 10 at Eric Iverson Field in Miami, Okla. In the opener against Independence, doubled with three runs batted in and two runs scored, while going 2-for-3 with two doubles, two runs scored and an RBI.
In the opener against Eastern, Tune was hitless in two at-bats, while hitting a double and scoring a run in Game 2.
The Lady Norse (13-9) will be idle until a road doubleheader against Seminole State College at 2 p.m. March 26 before returning home to entertain Northern Oklahoma College-Tonkawa for a 2 p.m. twinbill on March 28.
