Johnny Don Lee, 65, of Hobbs, N.M. was born on Oct. 23, 1960, in Sapulpa, to John and Kay Lee. He passed away on Feb. 22, 2026.
He was a 1978 graduate of Muldrow High School.
He married Melanie Gail Davis on Sept. 21, 1979.
At around the age of 27, he accepted the call to preach and traveled across the country evangelizing before becoming pastor at age 34, of the Trinity Free Holiness Church in Hobbs for 31 years.
Survivors include his wife, Melanie Lee of the home; children, Alicia Lee and husband Vincent, Tanya Boutwell and husband Derrick, Todd Lee and wife Christina, Don Lee and wife Melissa, and Amber Lee, all of Hobbs; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; his mother, Kay Lee of Sallisaw; siblings, Darla (Randy) Mckee, Barbara (Dicky) Wilson, Karen (Kenny) Stewart, Sondra Housley, David Lee, Teresa (Greg) Moore, and Dan (Camelia) Lee; and other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his father; and an infant brother, John Allen Lee, Jr.
