Funeral services for Pastor Kennith W. Bynum, 83, of Muldrow, was held at 2 p.m. Monday, March 2, 2026, at the House of Refuge in Gans.
Burial followed at Liberty Cemetery in Roland, under the direction of Agent Mallory Martin Funeral Service, Inc.
Pastor Bynum was born on Sept. 26, 1942, in Fort Smith, Ark., to Marie (English) Bynum and Cecil Bynum. He passed away on Thursday, Feb. 26, 2026.
He graduated from Roland High School and served as a pastor for over 50 years. He was a member of the Army National Guard.
He married Caroline Sue (Reed) Bynum on Nov. 4, 1966, in Roland.
Survivors include his wife, Sue; three daughters, Stephanie Pearson and Larry of Roland, JoJa Bynum of Roland, and Davonna Whittenburg and Justin of Muldrow; seven grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; sister, Iva Jean Gray of Roland; and other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and sister, Shirley Lorraine Gray.
Pallbearers were Eli Whittenburg, Matthew Whittenburg, Tyler Bartlett, Ethan Pearson, Cameron Ogilvie and Kyle Vandenberg.
Honorary pallbearers were Danny Brewer, Larry Pearson, Justin Whittenburg, Steven Keith, Daniel Goff, Mark Jones, Colton Reed and Darren Gray.
