Former Muldrow Lady Bulldog softball player Danica Tune saw action last week for the Northeastern Oklahoma A&M Lady Norse.
On Feb. 24, the Lady Norse split a road doubleheader against Neosho County Community College in Chanute, Kan., as they took the nightcap 12-11 after losing the opener 8-5.
In the opener, Tune doubled with two runs batted in, while getting a single with an RBI and a run scored in the nightcap.
Last Wednesday, the Lady Norse swept a home twinbill from Crowder, Mo. by scores of 10-9 and 6-5 at Eric Iverson Field in Miami, Okla.
In the opener, Tune was 2-for-5 with a double and two runs scored, while she was hitless in three at-bats in the nightcap.
Sunday’s home doubleheader against Mineral Area College was rained out.
The Lady Norse (115) were slated to return to action in a home twinbill against Labette Community College before traveling to meet Crowder for a 1 p.m. Friday doubleheader in Neosho, Mo., before returning home to meet Eastern Oklahoma State College and former Vian Lady Wolverine Maisie Wells for a 2 p.m. Tuesday twinbill in Miami.
