Gans Donkey Basketball Game slated March 12

WAUKOMIS — Gans Grizzlies powerlifter Anthony Vasquez won the 181-pound division at last Wednesday’s 8-Man State Meet.

Vasquez lifted a total of 1,380 pounds to win the 8-Man State Meet title at 181 pounds as he finished 45 pounds greater than the runner-up.

The Grizzlies will return to action at 9 a.m. Friday at the Iron Hog Classic in Panama. The Gans Donkey Basketball Game between the Gans High School seniors and representatives of the Cherokee Nation will take place at 7 p.m. March 12 on Larry Ringgold Court at Bryant “Big Country” Reeves Fieldhouse.

Advance tickets will cost $8, while tickets at the door on game night will cost $10.
