On February 4, Roland High School took 10 students to compete in the FCCLA Regional STAR Events in McAlester. The students represented with professionalism, confidence and outstanding skill.
Student placements were as follows:
• Creed Speaking – Level 1 Hollind McKinney – 3rd Place
• WR Teacher’s Aide – Level 3 Madison Hall – 3rd Place
• Cake Decorating – Level 2 Khloe Harmon – Participant
• Cake Decorating – Level 3 Brittani Martin – 1st Place (advances to state)
• Children’s Literature – Level 2 Jayleigh Atkins – 1st Place (advances to state)
• Children’s Literature – Level 3 Izzy Hopkins – 2nd Place (advances to state) Repurpose and Redesign – Level 3 Team
• Kara Johnson, Kenzie Pratt and Jordynn Smith
