In Sequoyah County’s two elections for school board — for Central and Moffett schools — Blake Rogers and Dayanara Marie Bowling emerged as unofficial winners, respectively.
In voting for the Central seat, Rogers tallied 176 of the 246 ballots cast for 71.5% of the votes. Sarah Adams received 54 votes, 22%, and DeJuna McDonald garnered 16 votes, 6.5%.
In voting for Moffett Elementary School, Bowling received 13 of the 22 ballots cast for 59.1% of the votes. Roger Dale McAfee received the remaining 9 votes, 40.9%, while Sarah F. Jones did not receive any votes.
Election results are considered unofficial until they are approved by the State Election Board.
