Funeral services for Janie Taylor, 81, of Nicut, were held at 1 p.m. Monday, Feb. 9, 2026, at Agent Mallory-Martin Chapel in Sallisaw.
Burial was at Belfonte Cemetery in Muldrow under the direction of Agent Mallory-Martin Funeral Home.
Mrs. Taylor was born on Dec. 31, 1944, in Tahlequah to Ike B. Bird and Maggie (Dellis) Taylor. She died on Monday, Feb. 2, 2026, in Tulsa.
She was a home health caregiver. She married Clarence Taylor on Feb. 16, 1968, in Stilwell. He preceded her in death on May 25, 2001.
Survivors include one daughter, Amanda and Dewayne Sevenstar of Nicut; three sisters, Mary Nofire of Nicut and Diane Daugherty and Lou Soap, both of Long; one brother, Dalite Taylor of Purdy, Mo.; and other family members and friends.
She was also preceded in death by her parents; and son, Terry Taylor.
Pallbearers were Dewayne Sevenstar, Kendall Daugherty, Sammy Daugherty, Brett Elliot, Braden Daugherty and Jeremy Mabray.
