Funeral services for Velma (Sutton) Henson Depue, 93, of Muldrow, were held at 11:30 a.m. Monday, Feb. 2, 2026, at the Agent Mallory-Martin Chapel in Muldrow.
Burial was at Upper Camp Creek Cemetery under the direction of Agent Mallory-Martin Funeral Home.
She was born on Feb. 23, 1932, to George Lewis Sutton and Artie Precious (Duty) Sutton. She died on Wednesday, Jan. 28, 2026, in Fort Smith, Ark.
She was a retired production worker from Whirlpool.
She married David E. Depue on Oct. 1, 1988, in Liberty. He preceded her in death on March 18, 2006.
Survivors include three daughters, Charlene Hoewt and Hans of Garfield, Ark., Freda Martin and Bill of Barling, Ark., and Vickie Henson and David Burnett of Avoka, Ark.; one son, Gerald Henson and Carol of Nicut; one brother, George Sutton of Liberty; 12 grandchildren; and other family members and friends.
She was also preceded in death by her parents; three sisters; and three brothers.
