Muldrow man sentenced to multiple life terms
In child sexual abuse cases
By AMIE CATO-REMER EDITOR

A Muldrow man has been sentenced to multiple life terms in prison following convictions for a series of child sex crimes in Sequoyah County.

Zachary L. Flock, 43, entered a blind plea before Associate District Judge Kyle Waters and was sentenced to life in prison on multiple counts of lewd molestation and forcible sodomy. The life sentences will run consecutively.

Flock was charged in two separate cases, each involving two counts of forcible sodomy and two counts of lewd molestation. Additional counts of lewd molestation and sodomy were also filed against him in the county.

“I want to thank the investigators from the Sallisaw and Muldrow Police Departments for the work they did in these cases,” said District 27 District Attorney Jack Thorp. “Crimes like these will not be tolerated. I’m grateful that his victims were able to get justice, and I hope they find closure in the fact that their abuser will spend the rest of his life behind bars.”

The life sentences stem from investigations that began in 2025.

According to an affidavit filed Aug. 13, 2025, Flock was charged with felony sodomy involving a victim under the age of 16, an offense punishable by up to 20 years in prison.

At the time, he was scheduled for a Sept. 24 felony disposition docket before Judge Waters.

Muldrow Police Officer Ricci Pyle reported that on Aug. 4, 2025, she met with the victim and a family member regarding allegations that Flock had been sexually abusing the victim, who was under the age of 16.

The family member informed police that Flock was a registered sex offender and was on probation at the time of the alleged abuse.

According to the affidavit, the victim disclosed that Flock had allegedly sexually assaulted them multiple times over a five-year period while they stayed at residences in both Sallisaw and Muldrow.

The victim stated the most recent incident occurred just before Christmas 2024 at Flock’s Muldrow residence.

Flock agreed to be interviewed by police on Aug. 7, 2025. During questioning, he initially told Officer Pyle that he had woken up one morning with his hand on the victim’s private area while the victim was clothed.

He later confessed to abusing the victim over the past year, admitting to multiple incidents in which both he and the victim were unclothed.

Flock stated the abuse occurred at his home nearly every weekend after he moved to Muldrow, according to court documents.

Following the interview, Flock was arrested and transported to the Sequoyah County Detention Center.

Court records also show that Flock previously pled guilty and was convicted of sexual abuse of a child under the age of 12 in Sequoyah County District Court in February 2022.

With the imposition of multiple consecutive life sentences, Flock will spend the remainder of his life in the custody of the Oklahoma Department of Corrections.
