“And whatever you ask in My name, that I will do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. If you ask anything in My name, I will do it” (John 14:12-15).
Christian, how often do you pray to the God of Heaven, the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ?
Prayer
Prayer is an act of worship and it is fellowship with God. Prayer builds Christians into the likeness of Jesus Christ and then Christians build churches as the Holy Spirit directs. Praying the way Jesus teaches us will glorify God and we’ll prayers answered. Prayer involves a dedicated heart to God. One who loves God above all and obeys His Word. The Christian that does not pray will not grow spiritually!
The Church that is not built on prayer will cease to exist as a New Testament Church. The power of God is not there! Where there is prayer there is the power of God at work.
Christian
How often do you pray to the God of Heaven, the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ? Do you pray often? What do you pray about? Does it glorify God? Are you always asking? Do you take the time to praise Him and give thanks for who He is and all that He has done…and doing?
We should be so thankful that the Father raised Jesus from the dead and He is now seated at His Right-Hand interceding for us. We now have access to the Heavenly Father. We can pray to the Creator and receive from Him when we use His formula for prayer.
We would have no prayer life if Jesus had not returned to Heaven. This is the reason we should always take the time to pray and thank God for making it possible to have fellowship with Him who is the One Most powerful, Loving and Just God.
Jesus
Jesus teach us about prayer? We must pray in faith. Faith believes God. We pray to God the Father in the Name of Jesus Christ and in the power of the Holy Spirit. (Matthew 6:9-13).
“And whatever you ask in My name, that I will do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son” (John 14:13).
When we love God above all, love Jesus His Son, obeying His commandments we will be effective in prayer. Prayer is to be done God’s way.
“Rejoice in the Lord always. Again I will say, rejoice! Let your gentleness be known to all men. The Lord is at hand. Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus” (Phil. 4:4-7).
We pray about everything, giving thanks to God. When we pray the way Jesus said we will experience “the peace of God.”
Do you love God the Father above all? Are you experiencing worship as you pray? Do you pray believing God? When you pray do you pray what Jesus would pray? How much do you know about the will of God? We must always pray in the Name of Jesus. This is the only way our prayers are heard and answered.
God hears and honors the prayers addressed to Him offered in His Son’s Name and in the power of the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit knows the will of the Father and will lead us in prayer when we yield to God. (Romans 8:26-27) How does one know God’s will? It is in the Bible, God’s Word! We must read it, take it in.
When you pray do you desire to glorify God? Do you express faith in God?
We are the people of God, have access to the Creator and have placed our faith in Jesus Christ as Savior. Our God is the One and Only Most Amazing God!
Sin
If you have sin in your life that you refuse to confess you can’t expect God to acknowledge your prayer. “If I regard iniquity in my heart, The Lord will not hear” (Psalm 66:18).
Use His formula…experience the joy!
Thank You Heavenly Father.
