Muldrow man arrested on rape charge

A Muldrow man was arrested and booked into the Sebastian County Adult Detention Center at 6:55 a.m. last Saturday morning for the alleged rape of a minor under the age of 14, according to court documents.

Vincent L. Barnes, 29, was arrested by officers with the Fort Smith Police Department on Jan. 17, and his bond has been set at $250,000.

Authorities said the investigation remains ongoing and they’re urging anyone with additional information to contact Fort Smith police.
