Funeral services for Fannie Mae (Gipson) Jeremiah, 95, of Muldrow, were held at 10 a.m. Monday, Jan. 19, 2026, at the Agent Mallory-Martin Chapel in Muldrow.
Burial was at Cottonwood Cemetery in Muldrow under the direction of Agent Mallory- Martin Funeral Home.
Mrs. Jeremiah was born on March 24, 1930, in Lavaca, Ark., to Arel Ray Gipson and Lillie Mae (Anderson) Gipson. She died on Thursday, Jan. 15, 2026, in Greenwood, Ark.
She was a member of Cottonwood Free Will Baptist Church, where she taught Sunday School for many years. She also served on the Sequoyah County Election Board, worked at the Muldrow Nutrition Center and was the site manager at Roland Nutrition Center.
She married Harold William Jeremiah on June 7, 1973, in Muldrow. He preceded her in death on Jan. 7, 1994.
Survivors include daughter-in-law, Merri Dyer of Muldrow; stepson, Leroy and Paula Jeremiah of Fort Smith, Ark.; two sisters, Dorotha Purkey and Linda and Paul Carter, all of Greenwood; two brothers, Bill and Linda Gipson of Fort Smith and Cleave and Libby Gipson of Greenwood; several grandchildren; and other family members and friends.
She was also preceded in death by her parents; son, Larry Dyer; infant daughter, Brenda Dyer; one brother, Jay Gipson; and two grandsons.
Pallbearers were James Gipson, Gary Gipson, Mike Purkey, Joseph Carter, James Carter, Alan Harrison Mike Francis and Daniel McDaniel.
