Funeral services for Virginia V. O’Neal, 89, of Sallisaw, were held at 2 p.m. Monday, Dec. 29, 2025, at First Assembly of God Church in Sallisaw.

Burial followed at Liberty Cemetery in Muldrow under the direction of Agent Mallory Martin Funeral Service, Inc.

Mrs. O’Neal was born on March 12, 1936, in Liberty, to Eva Bell (Jeremiah) Reed and Edgar James Reed. She passed away on Monday, Dec. 22, 2025.

She married Arnold D. O’Neal on Aug. 30, 1952, in Muldrow. He preceded her in death on Nov. 14, 2017.

She enjoyed gardening, painting, sewing, solving puzzles, cooking, and reading. She was a member of First Assembly of God in Sallisaw for over 60 years.

Survivors are a daughter, Arlene O’Neal Gaut of Sallisaw; two sons, Steve O’Neal and Debbie of Sallisaw and Mark O’Neal and Angela of Alma, Ark.; 10 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; five greatgreat-grandchildren; one sister, Sue Bynum and Kenneth of Muldrow; two brothers, Herbert Reed and Judy of Roland and Jimmy Reed and Brenda of Liberty; and other relatives and friends.

She was also preceded in death by her parents; and two sisters, Helen Price and Oma Lee Ogdon.

Pallbearers were Ryan O’Neal, Jared Clements, Kyle Waters, Scott Bodiford, Matt Houck and Tanner Bright.

Honorary pallbearers were her great-grandchildren.
