Six Gans Grizzlies football players were named to the All-District BII-4 Team, which was created earlier this month.
Three Grizzlies made the first-team all-district — running back Anthony Vasquez, offensive lineman Leland Locust and linebacker Preston Moore.
Three more Grizzlies, offensive lineman Jaxon Ragsdale, linebacker Preston Bennett and defensive end Quirt Ward, were named to the second- team all-district. The Grizzlies were 3-7 overall last season and went 1-4 in district play, but had a mathematically chance to make the Class B, Division II playoffs for the first time since 2022 had they defeated Webbers Falls in the regularseason finale, but the Warriors prevailed 46-0 on Nov. 7 at Grizzly Field.
With the exception of Locust, the other five players are slated to be back for the Grizzlies for the 2026 season.
