Land and Water Conservation Fund grant applications now open

The Oklahoma Tourism and Recreation Department Grants Team announced that the 2026 Land and Water Conservation Fund grant application period is now open.

The Land and Water Conservation Fund (LWCF) is a federal assistance program administered by the National Park Service (NPS) at the federal level. The NPS provides the LWCF matching grants to the States, and through the States to local governments, for the acquisition and development of public outdoor recreation areas and facilities. LWCF is a reimbursable 50/50 matching grant.

Project sponsors can download the grant application at Land and Water Conservation Fund (LWCF) – Oklahoma Tourism and Recreation Department.

Be aware that OTRD will now be accepting digital application submissions. To request access to the online submission system, please submit an email request to grants@travelok. com with your name and the entity you are applying on behalf of, and a link will be provided to the email address from which the request was sent.

The last day to request a link for digital submission is 4 p.m. on March 24, 2026. Applications must be digitally submitted by 4 p.m. on March 31.
