Roland Youth League Wrestling saw several members do well over the last two tournaments.
In last Saturday’s Black Diamond Classic at Sallisaw High School’s Paul Post Field House, Kacen Copeland won the championship at 140 pounds in the open age 15-andyounger division.
Ross Richards (49 pounds, age 6-andyounger division), Kord Earnhart (75 pounds, open age 8-and-younger division), Channing Davidson (heavyweight, open age 10-and-younger division), Tye Richards (61-64 pounds, open age 10-and-younger division), Ripken Eubanks (131-135 pounds, open age 10-andyounger division) and Tommy Greschke (112119 pounds, open age 15-and-younger division) all were runnersup.
Griffey Eubanks (60-62 pounds, age 6-and-younger), Chipper Stubbs (73 pounds, open age 10-and-younger division) and Krew Schuetz (110 pounds, open age 10-and-younger division) were fourth.
Roland Youth League Wrestling saw two members get crowned champion at the Viking Open, which took place Nov. 29 at Mick Thompson Fieldhouse on the Carl Albert State College campus in Poteau.
Channing Davidson was the champion at heavyweight in the novice age 10-andyounger division, while he was runner-up at 131 pounds to heavyweight in the age 10-andyounger division. Ross Richards took gold at 49 pounds in the age 6-and-younger division. Tye Richards (age 10-and-younger division, 55-61 pounds), Stubbs (age 10-andyounger, 73 pounds) and Schuetz (10-andyounger, 110 pounds) all were runners-up.
Coming in third were Griffey Eubanks (6-and-younger division, 60 pounds), Remington Peters (novice 8-and-younger, 52 pounds), Bretley “Gage” Peters (novice age 8-and-younger, 61 pounds), Ripken Eubanks (age 10-andyounger, 131 pounds to heavyweight), Ty Fowlkes (novice age 10-andyounger, 67-70 pounds) and Caden Davidson (age 15-and-younger, 155-158 pounds).
Greschke (age 15-and-younger, 112119 pounds) and Jeremiah Cherry (novice age 10-and-younger, 100 pounds) were fourth.
