Muldrow basketball teams sweep Stilwell in season openers

The 2025-26 high school basketball season got underway for Muldrow High School in fine fashion as both the Lady Bulldogs and the ’Dogs defeated NOAA Conference rival Stilwell on Friday night at Roger Sharp Activity Center.

The Lady Bulldogs began the night with a 51-35 win over the Lady Indians, then the ’Dogs downed the Indians 5847.

In the girls’ game, the Lady Bulldogs (1-0 overall, 1-0 in conference play) jumped out to a 12-5 lead after a quarter, which became a 30-19 halftime advantage and a 36-28 lead after three quarters.

For the game, London Hardin scored a game-high 14 points and Kilah Ellingberg added 12 points to lead Muldrow, followed by Emma Fields with seven points, Kayla Ellingberg with six points, Tae Williams with five points, Jaida Washington with four points and Jaydin Dean with three points.

In the boys’ contest, the Bulldogs (1-0, 1-0) took an 18-11 lead after a period. Muldrow stretched its advantage to 36-24 at halftime en route to a 50-33 lead going into the fourth quarter.

For the game, Parker Sevenstar led the ’Dogs with 20 points, followed by Jesse Kilinc with 11 points, D.J. Massey with eight points, Teaguen Collins with six points, DeShawn Willson with five points and J’vion Mays and E.J. Zanders with four points apiece.

The Muldrow teams will play in this week’s Sequoyah Invitational Basketball Tournament at Sequoyah-Tahlequah High School. The Lady Bulldogs will meet Ada at 4 p.m. Thursday, while the ’Dogs will face Glenpool at 5:30 p.m. Thursday in openinground games.
