A two-vehicle collision at the intersection of Old Hwy. 64 and County Road S. 4780 sent two people to the hospital Thursday evening, according to Oklahoma Highway Patrol (OHP).
The crash occurred at 5:59 p.m. when a vehicle driven by Haley Stone, 24, of Muldrow, failed to yield while entering Old Hwy. 64 from County Road S. 4780.
Troopers reported that a second vehicle, driven westbound by a 16-year-old from Howe, was unable to avoid Stone’s vehicle and struck it in the intersection.
Stone and her passenger were both injured in the collision. OHP confirmed that all occupants in her vehicle were wearing seat belts.
No one in the juvenile’s vehicle was injured, and seat belts were in use by everyone in that vehicle as well.
Next of kin for the injured were notified, troopers said.
The preliminary investigation was conducted by OHP Field Training Trooper Spencer Schmille and OHP Probationary Trooper Andrew Waters, both with Troop C.
The report lists no fatalities and no other details regarding the conditions of those injured were immediately available.
