Gans Grizzlies will have depth, experience this basketball season
By DAVID SEELEY Sports Editor

The Gans Grizzlies, who were 0-23 a season ago, will have a lot of depth, thanks to a 19man roster for this basketball season, which already saw them open Monday night at Okay before entertain Riverside Conference rivals Gore on Tuesday night and Keota at 7:30 p.m. Friday at Bryant “Big Country” Reeves Fieldhouse.

Gans Grizzlies veteran coach Brian Morton also has 13 players back from a season ago, led by returning seniors Bryce Stevens, Jessie Phillips, Harley Strahm, Jaxon England and Leland Locust. Aiden Garcia rounds out the group of seniors.

Juniors back for the Grizzlies are Preston Bennett and Phoenix Xiong, while Austin Hines, Christian Gaona, Hunter Edwards, Levi Overby, Jasper Green and Lucas Flute round out the returning sophomores.

Newcomers out this season for the Grizzlies are sophomores Preston Moore and freshmen Eli Blackmon, Michael Christopherson, Brayden Bradley and Cord Dorsey.
