Two community fundraisers have been scheduled to assist Hunter and Taylor Hutchinson as they prepare for the birth of their daughter, Baylor, who has been diagnosed with a congenital heart defect.
Dannie Bates with Bruton Masonic Lodge #30 in Muldrow has announced that the Lodge will host a hot dog, chili dog and Frito chili pie fundraiser from 4 to 6 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 13.
Bates said all proceeds will go toward the family’s medical and financial needs as they prepare for Baylor’s delivery and immediate care.
Bruton Masonic Lodge #30 is located at 301 S. Birch Street in Muldrow.
Baby Baylor was recently diagnosed with Transverse Arch Hypoplasia, a form of congenital heart disease. She will be delivered at UAMS in Little Rock, Ark. and is expected to be transferred shortly after birth to Arkansas Children’s Hospital, where she will undergo heart surgery within hours of her arrival.
In addition, an all-you-can-eat breakfast fundraiser will be held from 8 to 10 a.m. on Saturday, Dec. 6, at the Sallisaw Masonic Lodge.
Cindy Smith with the Sequoyah County Sheriff ’s Office said the breakfast event will support the Hutchinson family as they prepare for major medical procedures and ongoing care following Baylor’s birth. The menu will include biscuits and gravy, pancakes, coffee, orange juice, and
