Muldrow Lady Bulldogs returning eight players from 19-win season last year
By DAVID SEELEY Sports Editor,

The Muldrow Lady Bulldogs will be an experienced team, since eight members were a part of the 19-10 season last year — which saw them make the Class 4A Area Tournament consolation quarterfinals.

Last year, the Lady Bulldogs were runnersup in the Sequoyah County Tournament, were third in the Checotah Crossroads Classic, were the Class 4A District Tournament champions and beat Sallisaw to win the Class 4A Tournament consolation championship.

The Lady Bulldogs return three players, sophomore Kilah Ellingberg, senior Kayla Ellingberg and senior London Hardin, who were named to this season’s top 100 Girls Basketball Players to Watch by “VYPE” Magazine.

Other returners back for veteran Muldrow Lady Bulldogs coach Jana Armer are junior Emma Fields, senior Jaydin Dean, senior Gracie Prewett, senior Grace Atkerson and junior Amarie Duran.

Rounding out the varsity roster are juniors Tiphany Martinez and Adysen Beller, sophomores Kaelyn Whisenant, Emma Matlock, Briley Likens, Danika Sevenstar, Leni Cox, Maddison Soap and Cherish Atkerson and freshmen Aliyah Duran, Tae Williams, Jaida Washington and Lilah Willsey.

The Lady Bulldogs will open their season with a home game against NOAA Conference rival Stilwell at 6 p.m. Dec. 5 at Roger Sharp Activity Center.
