Funeral services for Derrick Graham, 9, of the Liberty community were held at 2 p.m. Monday, Nov. 24, 2025, at the Liberty School Gymnasium, under the direction of Agent Mallory Martin Funeral Service, Inc.
Derrick was born on Feb. 23, 2016, in Fort Smith, Ark. to Melody Teresa (Quinteros) Graham and Michael Derrick Graham. He passed away on Sunday, Nov. 16, 2025, in Muldrow.
Derrick found joy in the simplest pleasures of life; he reveled in playing with his toys, indulging in pancakes and fruit, and exploring the wonders of water. His zest for life extended to his enthusiasm for school and his deep affection for his teachers, who contributed to his happiness and growth.
Despite facing the challenges of Angelman’s Syndrome, Derrick’s courage and joy were a testament to his resilient heart. In honor of his memory, contributions may be made to the Angelman Syndrome Foundation (amoore@angelman.org).
Survivors are his parents, Michael and Melody Graham; grandparents, Teresa Sparks of Rosemead, Calif., Angela Cox of Gans and Ted and Frances Harvey of Weatherford, Texas; four aunts, Melinda Freedman of Castle Rock, Colo., Sandra Garcia of Rosemead, Delores Dowell of Arizona and Donna Sutton of Liberty; four uncles, Shaun Graham, Gary Sutton and Donna, and Jon Sutton, all of Liberty and David Friedman of Castle Rock; and other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his grandfathers, David Graham, Robert Quinteros and Charles Sparks; aunt, Pat Handy; and great-grandparents, Martha Graham, Josephine Garcia, Vernon Graham and Frank Quinteros.
Pallbearers were Shaun Graham, Jon Sutton, Frank Garcia, Jason Buckholt and Dalton Sorrels.
